Holiday Partying Leads to Increased Accidents

Legal

As the end of the year draws closer, office Christmas parties and New Year's events begin to take center stage. Despite best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, alcohol-related car crashes increase dramatically during this time. Studies indicate that auto accidents increase two to three times their normal numbers during the holidays when compared to similar time periods through the rest of the year. Further, 40% of traffic fatalities are reported to be related to alcohol.

While so many of us are out enjoying the holiday season, remember to never drink and drive. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are all worth every penny. Avoid being in a dangerous car accident at the happiest time of the year. If you or someone you love is injured in a car wreck or trucking accident, call Heath Sullivan at Gulf South Law Firm for help. Merry Christmas, Mississippi Gulf Coast!
